Chef Kasey Passen graduated from the University of Michigan and went on to attend Kendal College Culinary Arts program.
After working one year at the Boulettes Larder Restaurant in San Francisco, Kasey was hand-picked to develop a culinary program for Cellar360, a San Francisco wine bar and events venue.
In nearly three years at Cellar360, Kasey planned daily menus, catered over 200 private events, and launched an in-house culinary education program that offered weekly cooking classes to the public.
Her work was featured on “View From the Bay”,
a San Francisco television program.

Kasey’s culinary style draws influence from her extensive travel throughout Spain, Italy, Israel, and South America, but most significantly, from her immersion in the San Francisco food culture of local and seasonal cuisine.
She just returned to Chicago in January to launch Culinary Gatherings, and is eager to bring her experiences into your home and to share her love of cooking.

"In the kitchen Kasey’s talent and ease is magic.
She is fun, dynamic, inventive and spontaneous.
I’ve worked with her for two years watching her create dishes, menus, classes and with humor, I’ve watched her engage people and introduce them to the sensual world of food and wine."

Tom Gwynne, Assistant Manager of Cellar360

“ I just wanted to thank you for such an educational, delicious, and entertaining event last night. Kasey is a warm, caring young lady who has infectious passion for what she does.
I feel as though Kasey is the type of person who makes a difference in everyone’s lives she meets. I truly appreciate how Kasey understands and shares a love for everything that I love.
She appreciates fresh produce, fruits, and grains and how to take all of them to create nourishing dishes. Through her teaching I see and I feel her passion for what she is doing and she inspires me to become a better cook. Kasey loves to care for all those around her through her knowledge of food and wine.
It was truly an honor to meet her.“
